Cass,
Have you tried Roots Web.com? I put in Levi L Gibson and got several hits on him and his family. Did not see a Robert as a son, but information on Levi and Eliza Noble Gibson family.
I could not find anything on this family in Elwood area.

Does anyone know of the Levi L. Gibson family of Pipe Creek Twp., listed in 1860 census? Two GIBSON graves are listed in FRENCH Cemetery, Ardeth GIBSON and Robert GIBSON. I think Robert may be the s/o Rev. Levi L. GIBSON and wife Eliza Jane, nee NOBLE, d/o Robert NOBLE.

I checked many books etc at the Elwood Library for the SCHAU family. I checked the 1893-94 Bienial Directory--nothing there. The 1906 City Directory--nothing there. I also checked Madison County WPA birth, marriage and death records from 18801920-nothing there. And the 1880 census for Madison county--nothing there.I also checked cemetry records for Madison county-nothing there either. I am sorry. I don't know what else to check. I also checked on Leeson-Leason name, did not find Anna.
Can you tell me where you got the 1891 marriage information on John and Anna, maybe that would give me another lead to check out for you.
sorry I could not help

I am trying to track a family which supposedly lived in Elwood in the 1880 and 90's. I have an Arthur j Schau born in 1885-parents are Christian J Schau and Anna Maria Leason. I believe that Christian died early as Anna Maria was married to his brother, John P Schau in Elwood in 1891. Any information that you have or any sources that you can point me to would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Gail Schau

I found Jacob R. Vautaw 1868-1935 Elwood City Cemetery--Row 23 Addition: V
There is an obit for him in the Elwood Call Leader. If you would like it I will get it and send it to you.

Cora McRoberts--1894-1961--Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery--Row 8--Section 1
I did not see an obit for her in the Elwood Call Leader

There is a Mattie VAUTAW buried in the Oddfellows Cemetery, Alexandria, IN born: 1869--died 1910--Don't know if this would be your Mattie or not.
Could not find an obit for her in Elwood. Do you by chance have her full death date?

If you would like these obits, please email me at my regular email address of: lindaead@sbcglobal.net. I'll be glad to look them up for you and send them to you.

I am inquiring if you have William Martin Holmes and his wife Maggie Townsend Holmes buried in Elwood City Cemetery? Maggie died Feb 1926, and William died May 1957.
Thank you for your time,
Dottie

Carolin,
I have obits for Addison Davis, Mary Ann Davis, Ira Davis and a Mrs. Margaret M Davis, I beleive could be Ira's wife. Ira is buried in Addition II Row 7 of Elwood City Cemetery and so is Margaret Davis. Unfortunaly, in the obit of Ira and Margaret it did not list the name of husband or wife. But she is the only woman I found buried in the same section and row as Ira. I can either send the obits thru reg. mail if you send me your reg. mailing address, or can type them and send over the internet if you would contact me at my regular email--lindaead@sbcglobal.net. Let me know.
